We stand today on the edge of a New Frontier - the frontier of 1960s, the frontier of unknown opportunities and perils, the frontier of unfilled hopes and unfilled dreams.

That's what John F. Kennedy put in his acceptance speech in 1960. Words which were spoken before I was born, but they are not time-bound. We are always on the edge of a frontier. The boundary between what was and what will become. The opportunities and fears of yet unfulfilled dreams.

The scale of my dreams is probably less than Kennedy's although I can - in theory at least - reach most of the world with a website. Yes, I know, getting noticed is another matter but at least you have noticed me and are reading my word right now.

Pixelen.nl has two faces:

  • Images, arranged in sets and nearly wordless (photos must be able to speak to people without words).
  • Words arranged in logs of exactly 100 words with a photo (pictures and words can complement each other and with a little luck, the whole is more than the sum of its parts).
The weblog is Dutch only though. My English simply isn't good enough to do the translation and translation software is nowhere near good enough to capture the essence of those 100 words.

In case you get lost, the navigation is on top of the website. A complete overview can be found in the Sitemap of pixelen.nl
